    8/24/2019 Christopher Allen "Chris" Whicker, 44, Sheridan, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 20, 2019 at Riverview Health in Noblesville surrounded by his loving family. He fought a long and courageous battle against kidney disease for more than 20 years during which he received two transplants.

    Born May 25, 1942 in Noblesville, Indiana, he was the son of Melvin and Thelma (Earl) Cecil.

    He was born on January 13, 1928 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Walter Lake and Edla M Caldwell. Mr. Lake was a member of The Bible Baptist Church in Dugger. He served in the Navy during WWII.

    Betty Jane Kirby-Egler, 87, Sheridan, passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 14, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Westfield surrounded by her loving family.

    Born in Hamilton County, Indiana on Dec. 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late James Minten and Florence Edna (Roberts) Mossburg.
