Avanell Carter, 72, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.

She was born on May 3, 1945, to Estill and Virginia (Hughes) Carter in Saint Charles, Va.

She worked in housekeeping at Turtle Creek Nursing Home. She loved her cat, loved everyone, and was loved by her family.

Survivors include her siblings, Kermit Carter, Lorene Wells, Cora Stinchcomb, Dexter Carter, and Logan Carter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Toomey; brother, Willard Carter; and her twin brother, Alvin Carter.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with visitation scheduled from noon to the time of service. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
