Gloria Ko-Lo Chang Ku, age 76, of Cicero, died Jan. 27, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 17, 1941, at Chongqing, China to Feng-Wu Chang and Hung Chen Yu Chang.
In 1949 she and her family moved to Taiwan. After finishing college there, she came to the United States to earn a master's degree in Library Services.
She worked in the library of Greenfield Community College in Massachusetts as a technical services librarian for 11 years before following her husband to Indianapolis. After working two years at the Indiana State Library Mrs. Ku became a real estate broker, first associated with Century 21-Scheetz, then with Century 21-Realty Group 1, and lastly with Re/Max. Mrs. Ku retired from real estate work in 2011. She was a member of the Chinese Community Church of Indianapolis.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Wen-Chi (Jim) Ku.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother: Wen Xuan Zhang.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at the Chinese Community Church of Indianapolis, 3405 E. 116th St., Carmel, IN 46033, with visitation scheduled from 1 p.m. until time of the service. As per her wishes, she will be cremated after the service and her cremated remains will be buried at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Long Island, N.Y. at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chinese Community Church of Indianapolis.
