Jon Allen Massey, 64, of Noblesville, passed away Aug. 8, 2017.

He was born May 11, 1953, in Indianapolis, to the late Leslie J. and Alice G. (Mains) Massey.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He graduated from Arlington High School, class of 1971, and received his undergraduate degree from IUPUI and master's degrees from the University of Indianapolis and Butler. He was currently employed as a Contract Specialist with the Customs and Border Protection Department of Homeland Security. He was a devoted member of White River Christian Church in Noblesville where he served on the worship team. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, researching his family tree and he was an avid guitar player.

Survivors include his loving wife, Joni L. Strong Massey; son, Jacob J. Massey; daughter, Jenna L. Massey; granddaughter, Camryn Massey; brother, Brian L. Massey (Vicki).

He was preceded in death by brother, Paul D. Massey.

Visitation is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road. Services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2017, at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leslie J. Massey Scholarship Fund in care of the Indiana School for the Deaf.
