Matthew Butler, 38, of Fishers, passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of Saturday, March 4, 2017.

He was born on Oct. 29, 1978, to Daniel and Sherry (Ruble) Butler in Muncie.

He was a 1997 graduate of Noblesville High School. He had been a loving and nurturing stay-at-home dad for four years, and had recently returned to work, employed by UPS. He was an avid sports fan who closely followed the Colts, Pacers, and Chicago Cubs, celebrating their recent championship season with his wife, Brianne. He also enjoyed snow skiing and music. Most of all, he was a family man who loved the time he spent with them.

Survivors include his wife, Brianne S. Butler; parents, Daniel and Sherry Butler; son, Jack Butler; brother, Mitchell Butler; paternal grandmother, Sammie Amick; maternal grandfather, Robert Ruble; father-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; nieces and nephew, Cassidy and Mia Butler and Alex (Casey) Carpenter; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins left to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Butler; maternal grandmother, Janice Ruble; and mother-in-law, Linda Johnson.

The family is scheduled to receive friends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a savings account established for Matthew's son, Jack William Butler, at Chase Bank. Contributions may be made in person at any branch or via the bank's night deposit drop box.
