Rebecca Nicole Hopper, age 26, of Sheridan, passed away at Riverview Hospital Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017.

Born May 11, 1991 in Noblesville, she was the daughter of Lonnie R. Hopper and Loretta M. (Grimes) Hopper-Young.

After graduating from Sheridan High School with the Class of 2009, Rebecca continued forward with her education, earning her associate's degree from International Business College in 2011. She was currently working at Young's Kitchen in Sheridan. With her infectious smile and contagious personality, she always made sure that everyone walking into the restaurant felt at home. Having never known a stranger, nobody, absolutely nobody, came and went from Young's without getting a visit from her. She had a loving soul and a big heart. If you were ever in need, she would be right by your side no matter what. Family was a very important part of her life. She truly cherished every moment she was able to spend with them, especially when it came to her nephew. When she found some time to herself, you could sometimes find her reading a good book or just hanging out listening to some music, but more times than not, she would be binge watching one of her favorite shows on Netfilx. She attended the itown church in Fishers.

Survivors include her parents, Loretta Hopper-Young and Gale Young of Sheridan; her father, Lonnie Hopper; brother, Daniel Ray Hopper of Sheridan; nephew, Quentin Oresik-Mossburg; her many cousins that were more like brothers and sisters; maternal grandmother, Pam Ranney of Sheridan; paternal grandmother, Lois Hopper of Sheridan; and several aunts and uncles that will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Vernon Russell "Russ" Hopper.

Services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan, with visitation scheduled from 3 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan. Pastor Steve Martin will be officiating.
