Since 2007, Sport Clips locations across the country have worked to support U.S. service members and veterans through “Help A Hero.”

  • To date, Sport Clips and VFW have awarded more than 800 VFW-administered scholarships, totaling more than $3 million.
  • This year’s goal is to again raise $1 Million, which will afford scholarships of up to $5,000 for service members and veterans who are pursuing an education at post-secondary institutions, including trade schools.

Stores nationwide, including the Noblesville location, 16625 Mercantile Blvd
Ste 200, and Carmel location, 12570 N. Gray Road, began collecting donations at checkout Oct. 16, and will continue through Veterans Day, Saturday, when they recognize “The Biggest Haircut Day of the Year.” On this day, $1 from every haircut service will go toward VFW-administered scholarships for transitioning military. In 2016, our $1 haircut service donation accounted for more than $115,000 of our $1 million total.

Participating Sport Clips will also be giving free haircuts to active duty military and veterans on Veterans Day, with valid proof of service. For a participating location, visit the Sport Clips website.

Sport Clips makes a commitment to those who serve our country not just in word, but through action. In addition to Help A Hero, Sport Clips offers special franchising options through the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) VetFran Program, and is a supporter of Ageless Aviation Dreams Foundation, the Aleethia Foundation and numerous other military and philanthropic programs.
