Jean Ann Hersberger, 79, of Lapel, formerly of Noblesville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at her home following a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Oct. 4, 1939 in Anderson to Walter Edward and Mary Louise (Cook) Behrens.
Jean was graduated from Anderson High School in 1957.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church; the Priscilla Circle; and the Chat-A-While Club. Jean was a devoted wife, caring mother and doting grandmother whose gift was caring for children and babies.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Morris; four children, Katherine Heflin (Chuck Talley), Scott (Tammy) Hersberger, Lori (Gil) Andrada, and Amy (Terry) Jones; nine grandchildren, Mary Heflin, Nick Hersberger (Danielle Smith), Todd Hersberger, Kiyomi, Jeff, and Kendra Andrada, and Cameron Jones (Kim Buentello), Morgan Jones (Jared Henry), and Kailyn Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Oliver Jones and Tatum Henry.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Mark and Jeff; two grandchildren, Anna Heflin and Conrad Hersberger; and a brother, Larry Behrens.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 N. Main St., in Lapel with Pastor Doug Barton officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home.
