John Bernard Kemerly, 80, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018. He was born June 3, 1938 in Anderson.
John was the son of the late Geneva M. Lehr and Richard D. Kemerly. He graduated from Noblesville High School in 1956 and General Motors Institute in 1960.
John is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jeri P. Kemerly; sons, J. Todd (Kathleen) Kemerly and Douglas B. (Heather) Kemerly; daughter, Kristi K. (Brad) George; sisters, Linda Nevitt, Sandy (Bill) Gilliam; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, James D. Kemerly.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Blackhawk Ministries, 7400 E. State Blvd. in Fort Wayne. Visitation for friends and family is set from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in John's name to Blackhawk Ministries.
