John Michael Field, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1939 to the late A.B. and Emma (Opperman) Field at Harrell Hospital in Noblesville, Ind.
Mr. Field was a 1958 graduate of Noblesville High School and a member of the 1957 undefeated football team. He attended Ball State and proudly served in the Indiana National Guard. In 1992, he bought Field Rubber Products and retired in 2010. Mr. Field was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the Elks Club, the 50 Club of Hamilton County, the National Sporting Clay Association, the Indiana Gun Club, and the Izaak Walton League. Mr. Field loved fishing in Costa Rica, Canada, the Arctic Circle, and the Florida Keys. He also enjoyed sporting clays and snowmobiling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandsons.
Survivors include his wife, Jan (Kruse) Field; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen E. Field and their sons, Jack and Daniel; son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Karen L. Field and their sons, Scott and Jason; sister, Janet Foell of Novi, Mich.; and sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Dale Ostler of Noblesville.
Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a private service to follow on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. Rev. Dr. Jim Farrer will officiate the service. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
