Joseph Blazier passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Millers Senior Community in Castleton, Indiana. He was born Oct. 8, 1938 in Noblesville to the late Joseph N. Blazier, Sr. and June Rose (Taylor) Blazier.
He is a 1956 graduate of Noblesville High School. He worked as an orderly at the Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, where he met and later married Princillo June (Sumpter) Blazier. He served in the National Guard. He worked for FORD Motor Company in Indianapolis from which he retired after 35 years. In his mid-twenties he became a born again Christian and later graduated from Union Bible Seminary in Westfield, with a ministerial degree. He became an ordained minister with the Wesleyan denomination and pastored churches in Indiana and Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Princillo, and three children, Ethel Joann (Hickman) of Indianapolis; Joseph N. Blazier, III; of Fort Wayne and Marcia Jane (Abney) of Kirklin; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his youngest brother, Jay Wayne Blazier of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James; and three sisters, Jerena, and Jillane of Noblesville and a sister Judith, of French Lick, Ind.
Upon his request, his body was donated to IU Anatomical Research. A cremation will follow and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
