Ralph A. Hiday, 96 of Anderson, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis following a one-week illness.
He was born on March 12, 1923 in Hancock County to Hubert and Myrle (Rushton) Hiday.
Mr. Hiday retired in 1985 from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and had served in Japan.
Survivors include son Stephen (Kelly) Sosbe; granddaughter Kebra (Christopher) Kincer; grandchildren Miranda and Christian; and brother William Hiday.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years; and ten brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street in Lapel with Pastor Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date. Family and friends may pay their respects three hours prior to the funeral.
