Dear Editor,
I just read in the about House Bill 1414 which concerns our Indiana Coal mines and shutting them down. I understand why Rep. Ed Soliday, Rep. Alan Morrison, Rep. Matt Hostettler, Rep. Ethan Manning and Rep. Bruce Borders support this bill. It explains the transition process from coal powered support of electricity to the alternative support. We must take our time in transitioning to the alternative and to always cover our backs, just in case the alternative fails. Point in fact; there are some Indiana communities who rely on coal to heat their homes and cook from its use and we may have a climate change toward an ice age and the coal fired support for our electricity is what we will need. And besides all of this, how are we to put a lump of coal into the Christmas stocking of a misbehaving person?
