The Guerin Catholic pitching staff shut the Bishop Chatard bats down on Tuesday night en route to a 4-0 victory.

The Golden Eagles got stellar performances on the mound from junior Drew Fosler and senior J.T. Lazarra. Fosler pitched three innings, only gave up one hit and struck out six. Lazarra completed four innings, allowed two hits, struck out four and recorded the win.

Offensively, Guerin generated four runs scoring one in the third inning and finished the night with three insurance runs in the top of the seventh.

The Golden Eagles were led at the plate by seniors Grant Fremion and Kash Hale. Fremion went 3-for-3, scored a run and knocked in a run. Hale went 2-for-3 and also recorded a run and a RBI.

Seniors Cameron Kirsch and Matt Olovich also tallied RBIs on the night.

The win brings Guerin's record to 2-3 on the young season. The Golden Eagles and Trojans will complete their home-and-away series with another game 5 p.m. today at Guerin.
