INDIANAPOLIS - The Carmel, Lawrence North boys basketball game at Indiana Farmers Coliseum was a game to remember. The three-overtime affair ended with a Britt Beery basket in the third OT to beat Lawrence North 50-48.

"This was a big MIC win that keeps us in the mix for a fifth MIC Championship in six years," Greyhound head coach Scott Heady said.

Beery substituted for JM Mulloy in the fourth quarter and came through with some big plays. The final one being the winning shot with 17 seconds left.

Another crucial offensive player was Sterling Brown who stepped up with 20 points. However the team finished with a 36 percent shooting average.

"We beat a very talented LN team tonight in a game that we didn't shoot well," Heady said. However, Carmel's defense was what solicited the win. They held LN to 48 points and a 34 percent average.

Carmel (14-3) has yet to play the conference leader, Warren Central, who is undefeated at 5-0 but has three games left. This moved Carmel to 4-2 in the MIC as they play host to No. 10 HSE next Friday.
