INDIANAPOLIS - The Noblesville boy's track and field team traveled to Pike High School on Wednesday night and picked up a victory.

The Millers defeated the Red Devils 80-52.

A number of Miller athletes were first-place finishers in the dual meet:

The team of Zach Freeman, Justin Amburgy, Jack Commeville and Bryce Gatewood placed first in the 4x800-meter relay with a time of 8:31.

Eric Hoffman won the 1600-meters with a time of 4:29. Hoffman also won the 800 at 2:02.

Bryce Gatewood placed first in the 400 with a time of 52.19 seconds.

Blake Hipkiss won the 3200 at 10:14.

Josh Garcia had the best long jump at 19 feet, 6 ½ inches.

Chase Martin won the pole vault at 10 feet.

And Drew Hartmann tossed the best shot put at 50 feet, 5 inches.

The Millers will next compete 5:30 p.m. Monday at Carmel High School in a meet against the Greyhounds and Westfield.
