Both golf teams from Carmel and Noblesville have advanced to the state meet after placing first in their respective regionals Thursday. The Greyhounds competed at Sandy Pines golf course in DeMotte and shot a 291, while the Millers played their regional at the Players Club in Yorktown and shot a 300. Jacob Deakyne led the Millers by shooting a 70.

Hamilton Southeastern, Guerin Catholic and two boys of the three boys from Fishers (Caleb Bopp and Bryce Robertson) will also be advancing to the state meet to represent Hamilton County.

Both the Royals and Golden Eagles placed third at their respective regionals to advance, while both Bopp and Robertson will advance as individuals.
Griffin Hare from Tipton won the individual medal at the Players Club by shooting a 67 on the day, while Cole Harris from Carmel took home the individual medal at DeMotte after beating Lafayette Harrison’s Nic Hoffman in a playoff.

Crown Point placed second at DeMotte with a score of 320, just one stroke better than Guerin Catholic’s 321. Hoffman, Mark Civanich (Valparaiso), Drew Wrighton (Brebeuf), Nick Gashrowski (Michigan City), and Ethan Lutz (Westfield) all will be advancing as individuals.

Yorktown finished just a single stroke behind Noblesville at the Players Club as they shot a 301. Hare Bopp, Robertson, Luke Mattingly (Cathedral), and Drew Pickering (Heritage Christian) will be advancing as individuals from the Yorktown regional.
