The #3 Girls Soccer team traveled MIC opponent North Central Wednesday evening and won 4-1.

"We played a typical Monday evening game tonight, starting slowly. We scored about half way through the first half but then seemed content to hold on to the lead rather than expand it," said CHS coach Frank Dixon. "While the girls played hard, NC's pressure and their very big, talented freshman goalkeeper kept the score 1-0 into the second half. We conceded a penalty kick with 28 minutes left and suddenly found ourselves in a tie game. At that point, Katie Soderstrom took over the game and had us back in the lead by scoring two goals within the next six minutes."

This win was the fifth conference win in five tries for Carmel.

The team's record is now 9-1-1 (MIC 5-0-0). The Greyhounds will play MIC rival Warren Central Wednesday evening at home.
