The Noblesville Millers and the Fishers Tigers squared off Friday night in the first HCC game for both teams this season. The Tigers earned their first win of the year outscoring the Millers 29-0. The loss is the third of the season for the Millers, who are yet to win a game.

The first quarter for Noblesville was a series of three-and-outs until junior running back Luke Blevins gave the team its first ten yard play of the game with just over three minutes left in the first.

That began what would be the Millers' most productive drive of the half, with gains made by Christian Collier and Ryan Barnes. With one minute left in the first, NHS fumbled the ball, and Fishers' Nick Douglas gained possession for the Tigers.

The Millers' first half was plagued by punt struggles and missed snaps, while the Tigers began to capitalize on the good field position provided by NHS's struggling punter.

Linebackers Austin Bridenthal and Eddie Dziennik were bright spots for the Millers defense, both recording critical stops throughout the game, while the offensive game consisted of Christian Collier trying to find holes in the Fishers defense.

Fishers quarterback John Vore started the second quarter with a 20 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Collin Statz for Fishers' first touchdown.

Vore would throw for two more touchdowns before the night was over to senior tight end Isaiah Dunnuck.

The QB combination of Grant Gremel and Ryan Barnes struggled to produce for the Millers, and Fishers' Seth Sontich stole passes intended for Millers twice.

The Tigers' final touchdown came in the third quarter as Geoffrey Brown ran the ball six yards to the end zone three plays after another NHS interception.

A Ben Gordon topped off the scoring for the Tigers in the fourth.

The Tigers outgained the Millers 258-137 including 85 yards rushing and 173 yards in the air.

The Tigers travel back home for the Mudsock game against the Southeastern Royals next Friday night as Noblesville travels to face Westfield at 7 p.m.
