The Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles played in hot conditions on a beautiful afternoon and came away with a 5-1 victory over Ft. Wayne Luers. "This game was well within our control," said Chris McGrath, Head Coach. "The result was acceptable and there were moments of very nice play. We need continue to limit our self-induced mistakes and knit those nice moments into solid games." Daniel Cloran, Andrew Garvey, Jack Haddad and Sam Grocki provided the scoring.

The humidity burned off a bit by time of the varsity match between the Cathedral High School Irish and the Golden Eagles Thursday night.

It wasn't the cleanest of games, with fans seeing the two teams take a balanced game in to half 0-0.

The Golden Eagles started the second half pretty hot before CHS tempered the play. The game's lone goal came in the 82' off the right foot of senior co-captain Megan Wampler.

Senior Claire Gavin and her defensive block earned their 10th shutout of the season.
