The US Junior National Tournament concluded this weekend with the Dayton Lady Hoopstars of Ohio taking home top honors. The Hoopstars defeated Illinois' Lady Lightning 54-48 to win the 17U tournament championship.

Along with the Hoopstars, four other teams brought home trophies in the 17U tournament. The Missouri Blue Stars, the All Ohio Xpress, the Virginia Fairfax Stars, and Ohio Sports City U also took home some hardware.

Indiana's George Hill Lady Stars came close to placing, but fell to the Blue Stars 48-55 in their final game of the tournament. The Lady Stars were started by former Indiana Pacers guard George Hill.

No Indiana team took a top spot in the 13U-15U tournaments either, however, the Indy Magic 15U team came the closest, falling to 15U champions the All Nebraska Attack 50-38.

The All Iowa Attack and Wisconsin Flight Elite were the winners of the 14U tournament, both beating their opponents by double figures.

The 13U tournament ended with the Missouri KC Future taking home first place defeating Indiana's Midwest Finest 58-36.

The USJN girl's showcase is just one of eight basketball events scheduled to take place at Grand Park this month. USNJ's Indy 100 tournament started on Sunday and continues through Monday.

The ADIDAS Invitational is set to being July 12 and will be played through July 16. The invitational will include teams from 13U up to 17U.

The Black Cat Invite is a tournament specifically for girls grades 3-11 and will be help at Jonathan Byrd fieldhouse and the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club from July 15 through the 16.

More summer competitions at the fieldhouse include the PTN Heatwave Hoopfest July 21 and 22, the USNJ Midwest Summer Showcase the 23-25, and another ADIDAS sponsored event, the Adidas Hoosier Shootout.

Trey Lyles of the Utah Jazz will also be making an appearance at Grand Park's Jonathan Byrd Fieldhouse this month. The NBA star will be putting on a camp for boys and girls ages 6 to 18.
