After picking up their fourth win of the season at Brebeuf last night, the Guerin Catholic Lady Golden Eagles made it three-straight wins with a 73-21 victory over Herron Saturday morning.

Grace Hackett led the Golden Eagles in points with 16 on 7-of-9 shooting, and Sophia Fernandez joined her in double-figures with 10. 

Herron was not able to get anything to fall offensively for most of the night. Guerin raced out to a 22-2 lead after the first and went into the locker room with a 42-8 advantage. 

The third quarter was the most tightly contested eight minutes, with Guerin only outscoring Herron by two at 11-9. The Golden Eagles stretched their lead again in the fourth with a 20-4 edge on the scoreboard. 

Guerin shot 32-of-63 (51 percent) from the floor as a team, including 8-of-17 (47 percent) from behind the arc. Fernandez and Carly Hammons both knocked down a pair of 3-pointers. 

The Golden Eagles only attempted one free throw on the night, which Hackett converted. 

Olivia Labus had a game-high seven rebounds for Guerin. 

Rylee Butcher led Herron in points with seven. 

Guerin (5-15) will look to make it four in a row Tuesday when they travel to Decatur Central.
