The Millers started slowly against Blackhawk Christian on Saturday, looking disorganized and lacking communication. Once they got into the flow of the game, they began to dominate the competition. The Millers' first goal was earned by Nicolai Andersen after he knocked in a rebound of a shot that rang off the near post by Tyler Hanna. The Millers got their second goal of the first half when Luke Kpodi streaked down the right flank and then slid a ball past the goalie near post for his first goal of the season. The Millers went into the break ahead 2-0.

They kept up the pressure after halftime and got a third goal when Alec Vanyo acrobatically tapped a ball past the keeper to a perfectly placed Kole Thompson for the tap in. The Millers gave one back when they failed to clear a defensive header off a free kick. That did not dampen the spirits of the Millers as they continued to press for more goals. For their fourth goal, Luke Kpodi hit a screamer off the near post that rebounded out to Carter Cates for a tap in goal and the first of the season for him. The scoring was complete when Joe Lang tapped in a deflected Bryan Diaz shot with only 20 seconds to go in the game.
