The #6 Noblesville Millers varsity girls soccer team lost to the #1 Penn Kingsmen 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in Noblesville.

Penn's Kristina Lynch scored for the Kingsmen midway through the first half to give the Kingsmen a 1-0 lead through halftime. Lynch scored again with 33 minutes left in the game.

The Millers never gave up and kept battling back into the game, getting many chances for good looks on goal.

Noblesville junior Jada Hensley finally broke through the Penn defense to put the Millers on the board with a goal midway through the second half.

Penn was on their heels in the final 10 minutes with Noblesville applying plenty of pressure. Ultimately, the Millers couldn't find the equalizing goal before time ran out.

The Millers will play at Hamilton Southeastern on Wednesday with a chance to win the Hoosier Crossroads Conference Title. JV will kick off at 5:30 and Varsity will follow at approximately 7:00 p.m.
