The Noblesville varsity boys soccer team hosted the Noblesville Invitational this weekend, and came away with two impressive victories.

The Millers were able to find the back of the net early and often during their 7-0 victory in the first game of their Saturday double header against Northwestern High School. The Millers were led by seniors Nicolai Andersen with a hat trick and Garret Russell with a brace. Both Bryan Diaz and Jackson Latham hit beautiful half volleys from inside the 18 for their first goals of the season.

The Millers beat Kokomo 6-0 in the second game of the Noblesville Invitational. The Millers got first half goals from Joe Lang (2), Tommy Gregory, Josh Lovett, Nicolai Andersen, and Kole Thompson.

The boys are now 2-3-1 on the season.

The next competition for the Millers was Tuesday night against the Westfield Shamrocks. The Millers won their first conference game of the 2017 campaign as they beat Westfield 3-1. The Millers took the lead on a goal from Nicolai Andersen in the first half and went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

The Millers got second half goals from Kole Thompson and Alec Vanyo to take a 3-0 lead. However, the Millers were unable to keep the clean sheet. With under five minutes to play, the Millers gave a up a free kick just outside the box and the Shamrocks hit a beautiful bending free kick that hit the inside of the left post to bring the score to 3-1.

The Millers are next in action this upcoming Saturday against Blackhawk Christian and Homestead.

Westfield plays Harrison on Thursday.
