LAFAYETTE - Andrew Lewis shot a one-under par 71, to finish second at the Indiana High School Athletic Association Golf Regional, at Lafayette Jeff Thursday, and earn a trip to the State tournament.

Lewis carded two birdies on the front nine, and finished one-over 37. He added two more birdies on the back nine and finished with a two-under 34.

Noah Shanteau shot an even-par 72, and tied with three other golfers for third place, including Cole Harris and Kevin Stone, both of Carmel.

The Shamrocks finished with a team score of 301, just five-strokes behind champion Carmel, 296, and three behind runner-up Zionsville, 298.

Josh Kehl shot 75 for Westfield, Ethan Lutz carded an 83, and Kevin Hitch shot 87.

Carmel was paced by Harris and Stone. Curtis Robertson added a 75, Clay Stirsman shot 77 and Nick Dentino carded a 79 for the 'Hounds.

The IHSAA State Tournament is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Prairie View Golf Club, 7000 Longest Drive, Carmel.

All teams and individual golfers will play 36 holes.
