Thomas J. Wyninger, 68, formerly of Muncie, passed away Wednesday evening, Jan. 17, 2018, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Muncie, the son of Raymond D. Wyninger and Joella M. (Long) Grow.
He attended Muncie Southside High School. Mr. Wyninger served his country honorably in the U.S. Army for four years, with one year in Vietnam and one year in Korea.
He worked at Borg-Warner as a supervisor for 30 years; was a member of Full Gospel Temple and an active member of American Legion Post #470 in Fishers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and poker.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Terry “Angell” Wyninger of Fishers; two daughters, Joella Wyninger of Fishers and Lisa (husband, James) McIver of Muncie; one son, Thomas D. Wyninger of Fishers; eight grandchildren, Amber (husband, Jeff) Buck, Jared (wife, Katlynn) McIver, Destiny (husband, Mike) McWhirt, Tod Caid, Justin McIver, Jalyn McIver, Jayde Wyninger and Amirah Wyninger; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Taylor of Fishers and Tina (husband, Keith) Duncan of Pekin; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Doug Edmundson and Dustin Richardson, both of Fishers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Tracey Wyninger.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at Full Gospel Temple, 212 W. 7th St., Muncie, with Pastor Denny Helton and Pastor Jeff Buck officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Veterans of Delaware County.
