FISHERS - The Fishers softball team beat the Hamilton Heights Huskies soundly 10-0 on Thursday night.

The Tigers won thanks in large part to an excellent pitching performance from sophomore Maria Lorkowski. Lorkowski tossed five shut-out innings only allowing two hits and striking out two.

Ashton Runner and Shelby Wills were the only Huskies who managed hits on the night.

The Tigers had three different girls collect multiple hits, Briona Rance, Kristie Brooks and Aliyah Gulliam.

In addition to her stellar night on the mound, Lorkowski also led her team with three RBIs. Gulliam also knocked in three runs.

The Tigers are now on a two-game win streak and have an overall record of 4-2. The Huskies fall to 3-4 for the season.

Fishers next plays 5:30 p.m. Monday at Lawrence North.

Heights plays at 10 a.m. Saturday at Delta.
