Global sports entertainment leader Topgolf will open the doors to its first Indiana location Friday at 9 a.m. in Fishers. The new three level, 65,000-square-foot venue is the company's 35th location worldwide and is projected to attract around 450,000 visitors annually.

"The Indianapolis market is key to our Midwest expansion, and we are very excited to become a part of this community," said Topgolf Indianapolis Director of Operations David Lingafelter. "Fishers has been nationally recognized for being a great place to work and play, and we are happy to finally open our entertainment destination that the whole community can enjoy."

Through the premium experience of play, food and music, Topgolf is inspiring people of all ages and skill levels to come together for playful competition. Topgolfers can enjoy point-scoring golf games using microchipped balls that instantly score themselves, showing players the accuracy and distance of their shots on a TV screen in their hitting bay.

The new sports and entertainment venue spans 65,000 square feet and has 102 high-tech hitting bays on three levels.

The venues also feature an outstanding chef-driven menu, top-shelf drinks, big screen TVs and music in climate-controlled hitting bays for comfort all year round. The Fishers location will offer events for children, families, golf tournaments, social leagues, and golf instruction.

The only Topgolf Indiana location is located at 9200 E. 116th Street in Fishers and will be staffed by over 500 employees.

Regular hourly rates run $25 to $45 per bay depending on what time of day or night you go.

Each hitting bay comes equipped with a full set of clubs spanning all sizes, making it accessible for children and the less common left handed golfer. Players just wave the club across a sensor to release a ball, tee off, and watch the TV screen in each bay for scoring.

The further the drive, the more points earned. The course is laden with large targets that earn golfers extra points if hit.
