Stanton Stuart Watts

1932 – Nov. 13, 2021 Stanton Stuart Watts, 89, of Fishers, Ind., passed away at his home on Nov. 13, 2021. Mr. Watts was born in Thayer, Mo., in 1932, where he spent a large part of his childhood. He also lived in Ark. and Kan. but moved to Ind., creating his legacy as an adult. Mr. Watts served in the Army as a tank mechanic in Korea and Germany until 1959. While on leave with a buddy from Ft. Knox, Ky., he met Bonnie Josephine Mann on a blind and double date and so began their entire lives together, which the family is certain was his greatest happiness and pride in life. They state that they are compelled to take out a billboard and fill it with the finest print to display his unique and impactful life but they must try to tailor his story to just a few words. July 30, 1948 – Nov. 12, 2021 David Leagan, 73, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 30, 1948 to Harold and Janie (Putman) Leagan in Gastonia, N.C. Mr. Leagan served in the US Army from 1969 to 1985. After leaving the service, he worked for 22 years as an appliance technician for HH Gregg. He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Pendleton and shared his faith with anyone around. He was a huge golfer and never knew a stranger! He loved his dogs, but most of all loved his kids and grandkids and delighted in telling them lots of bad "Dad Jokes". She was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Lapel, Ind. to Charles Jacob Renner and Carolyn B. (Cottingham) Renner. Mrs. Lackey graduated from Lapel High School in 1953. She dedicated her time as a Homemaker. Mrs. Engelbretson attended Marion High school, Went to Boulder University for a B.S. in business also attended Glamor Girl Beauty Collage in Marion, Ind. She opened her own Beauty Salon by the name of Westwood Beauty Shop. Several years later she moved to Indianapolis where she lived for 8 years. She was ready for a change and moved north to the small town of Cicero on Morris Lake for 32 years she so loved the water at home or vacation. Dec. 17, 1934 – Nov. 8, 2021 Wilma Jean Hunt, age 86, of Sheridan, passed away on Monday morning, Nov. 8, 2021, at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, Ind. Born on Dec. 17, 1934 in Marion County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Jennie F. Gray. For over 17 years Mrs. Hunt worked for Aero Drapery in various capacities, including supervisor for the cutting department. She also enjoyed her years as a seasonal employee with Heartland Growers. She was a local Avon Rep. for many years as well. She was an active member of the Terhune United Methodist Church and the Terhune Ladies Aide. July 20, 1934 – Nov. 9, 2021 Richard A. Kelner, 87, of Carmel passed peacefully Nov. 9, 2021. He was born July 20, 1934 to Vincent and Margaret (Stunyo) Kelner in Gary, Ind. He was a graduate of Bishop Noll High School and a Navy Veteran. Mr. Kelner started his career in property management for Sinclair Oil after leaving the Navy in 1959. After 18 years with Sinclair, he joined Simon Property Group, overseeing Lafayette and Castleton Square, before retiring in 1999. In retirement he enjoyed a part time role working at Menards in Carmel where he met and made many friends. She was born in Concord, Mich., on Feb. 20, 1947 to Nicholas and Fern (Gottschalk) Zatalokin. Mrs. Stults moved to Muskegon County at an early age and was a 1965 graduate of Ravenna High School. Lacey Sr. and Hester R. (Cravens) Lacey of Noblesville, Ind. For 20 years, he worked as a janitor for Jim Dandy restaurant. He was a member of the American Legion SAL as well as the Noblesville Eagles and Moose Lodge. He was an Indianapolis Colts football fan and loved country music.
