Carmel City Center is excited to share the upcoming opening of 317Home, a furniture restoration and workshop studio, to the interior plaza at 715 Hanover Place. The new studio will celebrate their grand opening on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, with their doors opening at 10 a.m.
Owned by Indiana native, Rebecca Null, 317Home brings the exclusive Annie Sloan brand to Carmel as an exclusive stockist and art studio. Rebecca first discovered the Annie Sloan brand 20 years ago and, along with her clientele, has grown more dedicated and attracted to the beautiful finish it creates. Guests will be able to purchase fully restored furniture with the Annie Sloan finish or join in-studio workshops to learn decoupage, molding, transfer, and other restoration techniques using their own furniture pieces. “The furniture will be painted in front of everyone, and it’s always fun to see a painted project coming together,” says Rebecca. 317Home also offers a wide selection of Annie Sloan products available for purchase including paints, waxes, and brushes.
In celebration of their grand opening on Tuesday, October 26th, 317Home will raffle a set of brushes, large wax, large oval paint, stencil, and large flat during the first week of their opening. A winner will be drawn at the end of the day on Saturday, October 29th.
A Christmas Open House will be held on Saturday, November 6th in conjunction with Carmel City Center’s Holiday Preview Shopping Event. Complimentary white wine tastings and peppermint white Russians will be available from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, 317Home will raffle a one litre pot of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, one tin of Clear Chalk Paint Wax and an Annie Sloan original stencil. Visitors are welcome to stop by all day to enter to win.
Guests are invited to register for the studio’s first workshop on Saturday, November 13th at 11:30 a.m. Attendees will learn various decoupage techniques followed by the opportunity to create their own tray using one of the many paper options available at 317Home. The decoupage workshop will last 2 hours. The fee for the workshop is $65 and includes all materials. A maximum of 10 guests are invited to register. A second workshop will be offered at 2:30 p.m. if more guests register. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (317) 501-8271.
“317Home is the perfect addition to Carmel City Center,” said Melissa Averitt, senior vice president of Pedcor Companies. “We are thrilled to soon see visitors in the studio learning new techniques and creating pieces that will bring them joy for many years.” said Averitt.
317Home will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
