Student from Carmel first ever to conduct Manchester symphony

Mason Kniola of Carmel (46033) has been selected to conduct at the Dec. 12 Manchester Symphony Orchestra holiday concert. He is the first student to conduct the symphony in its 83-year history.

A junior at Manchester University, Kniola is majoring in vocal performance.

He will conduct “Marche Militaire Nos. 1 and 2” by Franz Schubert in Cordier Auditorium on the North Manchester, Indiana, campus of Manchester University.
