Dorothy Sue Tyner, 80, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1940 to Herman and Opal (Moore) Helpling in McKeesport, Pa.
Mrs. Tyner was a legal secretary and also a claims adjuster at Delco Remy for many years before retiring. She attended Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler, and also enjoyed softball, cooking, reading, and playing cards. She liked going to the beach and fishing. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Todd (Marcia) Tyner and Tony (Elizabeth) Tyner; daughter, Traci (Terry) Robertson; grandchildren, Chloe (Peter) Sackers, Griffin (Katie) Tyner, Kristen (Daniel) Deach, Allison Tyner, Michael Tyner, Brady (Erica) Robertson, Logan Robertson and Riley Robertson; and great-grandchild, Declan Deach.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Tyner; brother, Butch (Patty) Helpling; sister, Judy (Charlie) Rosenow; and infant sister, Patty Helpling.
Services are scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way in Fishers. Visitation is planned to be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Elwood.
