Spartz convenes workforce solutions roundtable in Madison County

Congresswoman Victoria Spartz hosted a workforce solutions roundtable in partnership with Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the Anderson Impact Center.

Speakers from Ascend Indiana, Gaylor Electric, the Hinds Career Center, and the StartEd Up Foundation were joined by business and community leaders discussing best practices and challenges in the local labor markets. Among the topics discussed were adult learning, wraparound services, inefficiencies of government funding, testing mandates, modern apprenticeships, financial literacy, public-private partnerships, and innovative education solutions.

“We have some strategic workforce readiness and supply chain issues, which are slowing the recovery of our economy,” said Congresswoman Spartz. “All the best ideas are coming from the grassroots, not from Washington, D.C., and I am always eager to hear from the innovators and leaders on the ground to be their partner in implementing and scaling up these initiatives.”
