Smoke pours from the open doors of the Hare Truck Center service department Saturday.

A fire in a van, parked in the Hare Truck Center service department caused an estimated $350,000 damage Saturday.

Division Chief Rick Russell, Fire Investigator for Noblesville Fire Department, said a fire originated in the engine compartment of a van that was inside the shop area. The fire was contained to the van, however, there is smoke damage thru-out the building as a result of the fire.

No injuries were reported, and the Noblesville and Fishers fire departments were able to contain the fire in 20 minutes.

Firefighters arrived just after 5 p.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the rear door, said Todd Estes, Noblesville Fire Department public information officer.

Crews made a rapid entry into the building, extinguishing the fire within 20 minutes and containing it to the main shop area.

No injuries were reported, fire currently under investigation by Noblesville Fire Department. Crews were assisted on-scene by Noblesville Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff Department and Fishers Fire Department.
