FISHERS – Comcast is teaming up with Fishers Parks & Recreation Department and the Fuel Tank at Fishers to present Olympic Night on Ice, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Fuel Tank, 9022 E. 126th St, Fishers.
The free Winter Olympic-themed event will provide Central Indiana residents and families with the chance to watch live demonstrations and learn more about how to get involved in local ice sports, including:
• Lil Nitro youth hockey
• Fishers Figure Skating & Winter Club
• Circle City Curling Club
• Indy Twisters special needs hockey
• IndySpeed Sports Club.
A free public skate is scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on a first come first serve basis.
Participants are invited to enjoy free food and Olympic-themed face painting as part of the festivities as well as a meet-and-greet with members of the Indy Fuel minor league ice hockey team including Nitro, the team mascot.
Other highlights include:
• Demonstrations by local ice sports teams including youth and special needs hockey, speed skating, figure skating and curling
• Free public skate (first come first serve basis and skates provided by Fuel Tank)
