When it comes to raising money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association, perhaps no day is more significant than “The Longest Day.”

Held each June in conjunction with the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, “The Longest Day” is a calling to people across the nation centered around finding creative, fun ways to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s research.

At The Barrington of Carmel, an area retirement community, $3,947 was raised June 21, for Alzheimer’s research and awareness. Over the last two years, The Barrington has raised more than $10,000 for the cause.
