Carmel jumped out to a 23-14 lead after the first quarter and stretched the advantage to 40-26 at the half. The Greyhounds extended the lead to 18 by the end of the third, and the Irish’s 14-13 fourth-quarter edge wasn’t enough.

Carmel shot 23-of-49 from the floor as a team, including making five of its 14 shots from behind the arc. The Greyhounds also converted 20-of-22 at the free throw line.
