The Indiana Math & Science Academy West Knights whizzed by the Sheridan Blackhawks 63-57 Friday night. 

The Knights used a strong first half to take a 38-22 lead into the locker room. The Blackhawks were outscored by 13 in the second quarter after a back-and-forth first. 

Ange Gnamkey led Sheridan in scoring with 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting. Nicholas Burnell and Drake Delph also finished in double-figures for the Blackhawks with 13 and 11 points, respectively. 

The Blackhawks made their move in the third quarter, outscoring the Knights by 10 to enter the fourth down 41-47. Both sides played to a 16-all standstill in the final eight minutes and the Knights left town with a six-point win. 

Sheridan shot 24-of-53 from the floor as a team, including knocking down five of its 11 attempts from behind the arc. The Blackhawks made 4-of-10 from the charity stripe. 

Jesse Kolb led Sheridan on the glass with eight rebounds. Burnell pulled down seven. 

Sheridan drops to 6-5 with the loss.
