Gene Kennett, 83, of Cicero, IN passed away Feb. 7, 2020 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN.
He was born June 28, 1936 at Noblesville, IN to Harvey and Olive (Chance) Kennett.
He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1955. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After completing his service to our country, he worked for many years at Delco Remy at Anderson, IN.
He married Phyllis Ann (Miller) Kennett on June 30, 1957.
Mr. Kennett was a member of Victory Chapel Community Church, Noblesville Masonic Lodge, and the Cicero American Legion. He enjoyed going to flea markets, fishing and family gatherings.
He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and had coached elementary football teams.
Survivors include, his wife, Phyllis Ann (Miller) Kennett; a daughter, Lou Ann (Dale) Munden of Arcadia, IN; sons, Mark Kennett of Arcadia, IN and Don (Jill) Kennett of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, John (Ashley) Munden, Jesse (Whitney) Munden, Jordan Munden, Devin Kennett, Chelsey Kennett, Amber (Alex) Valentine and David Kennett; and great-grandchildren: Bristol, Gentry and Evelynn Munden and Sophia Kennett.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034, with Military rites immediately following. Burial will then take place at Arcadia Cemetery. Pastor Andy Marshall will be officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 4 until 7 p.m. with Masonic rites to follow.
