Five make Samford University Fall 2017 Dean's List
BIRMINGHAM, Ala – Samford University releases dean's lists after the close of the fall and spring semesters each academic year.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Local Students Named to 2017 Fall Dean's List at Wittenberg University

Kyle Feuerstine Ashland University Honors Society Members
ASHLAND, Ohio – Kyle Feuerstine of Fishers, is a member of Ashland University's Honors Society.
Feuerstine, majoring in sport management, is a 2017 graduate of Fishers High School.
Feuerstine also was named to Ashland’s Dean’s List for the 2017 Fall Semester.
To be eligible for this honor, a student must be enrolled full time at Ashland University and achieve at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Bolander graduates from Marquette
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Megan Bolander of Carmel, has graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis.
Bolander earned a degree in Athletic Training.

Segner named to WSU Honor Roll
PULLMAN, Wash. - Autumn Ashley Segner, Noblesville, was named to the
Washington State University’s President’s Honor Roll for the 2017 fall semester.
To be eligible for the honor roll, undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of nine graded hours in a single term at WSU and earn a grade point average of 3.75 or earn a 3.50 cumulative GPA based on 15 cumulative hours of graded work.

Six earn Dean’s List honors at Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Six Hamilton County students earned Dean’s List Honors at the University of Iowa.

Local students earn University of Dayton degrees
DAYTON, Ohio – Four Carmel students were among the approximately 500 undergraduates who received their degrees from the University of Dayton during the December 2017 commencement ceremony.
Madeline Black, Ashley Brown, Emily Green and Theodore Singleton, all of Carmel, received degrees.

Blake Massman receives University of Iowa degree
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Blake Massman, Carmel, received a MS-Chemistry degree from the University of Iowa at the close of the fall 2017 semester.

Quincy University releases fall 2017 Dean's List
QUINCY, Ill. – Kimberly Bukowski of Noblesville, and Lucy Grenda of Carmel, were named to the Dean’s List at Quincy University for the Fall 2017 semester.
Honorees must earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) to be included in the biannual Dean's List. In total, 338 students received the honor during the Fall 2017 semester.

Fishers resident named to UMass Lowell dean's list
LOWELL, Mass. – Cameron Wolter of Fishers, has been recognized for achieving academic distinction at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Wolter, majoring in business administration, was named to the dean's list at UMass Lowell for the fall 2017 semester.
To qualify for the dean's list at UMass Lowell, a student must have completed no fewer than 12 graded credits for the semester and earned at least a 3.25 grade point average with no grade lower than C and without any incompletes.

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Each university school or college sets its own GPA requirements for students to be eligible to receive the distinction. Most call the honor "dean's list", but some grant the "Dean's Honor List" and "Dean's High Honor List."
