30 things for your calendars
For our readers who like to open their new calendars at the beginning of each year and fill up the blank squares with things to do, I will share some dates for your calendar:
Jan. 21-30 — The Hamilton County Theatre Guild’s Belfry Theatre will present “The Dining Room” comedy/drama, a play by A.R. Gurney, opening tonight and continuing through Jan. 30 at The Switch Theatre in Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy in Fishers.
Jan. 21-31 — The Great Dine Out with specials at local participating restaurants in Hamilton County.
Jan 21-Feb. 22 — Koteewi Run Seasonal Slopes is open daily for snow tubing at Hamilton County Parks’ Strawtown Koteewi Park in Noblesville.
Jan. 21-March 13 — Hearthside Suppers will be offered Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays at Conner Prairie in Fishers.
Jan. 22 — Comic Book in a Day will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ignite Art Studio in Fishers Library, sponsored by Nickel Plate Arts, where there is First Friday every month from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Feb. 10 — Celebrate Little Valentine with some Valentine’s Day fun from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Forest Park Lodge in Noblesville.
Feb. 10-20 — Main Street Productions presents the play, “Of Mice & Men” by John Steinbeck, at Westfield Playhouse in Westfield, with James H. Williams directing.
Feb. 11 — The Spring Home and Outdoor Living Show is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield.
Feb. 12 — Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville annual Sunrisers Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast to celebrate youth basketball season at the BGCN Community Center
Feb. 12-13 — The Nickel Plate Express will pay tribute to the history of trains featured in romantic movies from the past during a two-day special family and adult Valentine’s Excursions, departing out of Forest Park near downtown Noblesville.
Feb. 12 — A Parents’ Night Out and Slightly Over the Top celebration is being offered 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County Sports Complex in Noblesville for ages 4-13.
Feb. 21 – The next free day at Conner Prairie in Fishers is President’s Day, featuring Discovery Station with story times and special raccoon tea parties; make and take a terrycloth; and Presidential Games, Parlor Games and Party Pre with First Ladies.
Feb. 24 — Noblesville Parks & Recreation’s Daddy-Daughter Princess Ball will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mill Top Conference & Banquet Center in Noblesville, with registration required.
Feb. 25-March 6 — Carmel Community Players presents “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime,” with Larry Adams directing.
March 18-27 – The Belfry Theatre presents “The Lilies of the Field,” by F. Andrew Leslie from the novel by William E. Barrett, at Ivy Tech Hamilton County in Noblesville, with Linnea Leatherman directing.
March 31-April 10 — Main Street Productions presents “Flaming Idiots” by Tom Rooney, at Westfield Playhouse, directed by Brian Nichols.
April 7 — TopGolf Tournament at TopGolf Fishers to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.
April 22-May 8 — Carmel Community Players presents “The Fantasticks” musical, directed by Rich Phipps.
May 14 — Boys & Girls Club Auxiliary Auction at Harbour Trees.
June 2-12 — Main Street Productions presents “Rumors” by Neil Simon, at Westfield Playhouse, directed by Jen Otterman, with auditions April 11-12.
June 3 — Darlington Bed Race in downtown Noblesville to benefit Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville.
June 3-4 — Noblesville Lions Pork Chop Dinner, usually 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 3 on the Courthouse Square with all-you-can-eat pancakes 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. June 4.
June 7 — Deb Castino Memorial Golf Outing at Harbour Trees to benefit Boys & Girls Club.
June 10-19 — Carmel Community Players presents “Medley of Murders,” directed by Tanya Haas.
June 24-July 3 — The Belfry Theatre presents “Drinking Habits” at Ivy Tech Hamilton County in Noblesville, with Nancy Lafferty directing, and auditions at 7 p.m. April 24-25 at The Belfry.
July 28-Aug. 7 — Main Street Productions presents “30 Reasons Not To Be in a Play,” by Alan Haehnel,” at Westfield Playhouse, directed by Tanya Haas, with auditions June 5-6.
July 28-31 — The Belfry Theatre presents Disney’s “Frozen Jr.,” at Ivy Tech Hamilton County Campus in Noblesville, directed by James H. Williams.
Aug. 5 — Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville Cornhole Tournament at Forest Park.
Aug. 12-21 — Carmel Community Players presents “Shipwrecked! An Entertainment,” directed by Lori Raffel.
Oct. 1 — Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville Trick or Trivia with Noblesville Lions Club.
