David A. McConnell, 63, of Anderson, passed away on Jan. 26, 2022, at Community Hospital Anderson.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1958, in Noblesville.
Mr. McConnell was a 1976 graduate of Noblesville High School. He retired from Jim’s Formal Wear in 2021 after more than 30 years of employment. He held many positions over the years at Jim’s and really was a jack of all trades.
Mr. McConnell enjoyed spending his time golfing with family and friends, woodworking, riding his Harley, painting, playing with his grandchildren, and listening to music. He loved traveling and vacationing with his family, especially with his wife and best friend, Teri. He was a very talented artist and expressed his talent in many facets. Mr. McConnell learned the craft of woodworking from his father and truly had a passion for it. Recently, he began oil painting beautiful landscapes.
Survivors include his daughters, Heather (Chad) Wells of Anderson and Chelsea McConnell of Noblesville; grandchildren, Zach and Katie Wells of Anderson; sisters, Debbie (Ron) Gerber of Noblesville and Robin Keith of Noblesville; brother, Steve McConnell of Greenfield; sisters-in-law Marlene Barnard of Elwood and Lisa (Aaron) Dutterer of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Shirley McConnell; sister-in-law, Sharrie McConnell; brother-in-law, Dan Keith; and his beloved wife of 37 years, Teri McConnell.
Services are scheduled for Sun., Jan. 30, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with visitation scheduled from 4 – 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be shared online with the McConnell Family at www.loosecares.com.
