Mila Jane Wallace, aged 65, of Sheridan, passed away in the early morning of Wed., Feb. 23, 2022 while in hospice care. She was surrounded by family as she peacefully departed.

Known to most as Jane, she was born on Feb. 8, 1957, to Dortha Lee (Ferguson) Boulden and Robert K. Boulden of Sheridan, Indiana.

Mrs. Wallace graduated from Sheridan High School in 1975, then attended Ball State University for a time. She was also a member of the Sheridan First Christian Church. She married Chris Wallace in 1980, and from that union they had two children: Jessica Lee (Wallace) Kilies and Jamie Lynn (Wallace) Connors.

Mrs. Wallace was a loving homemaker and mother for many years. She found immense joy in landscaping and being outdoors in her flowerbeds. She created a home and space where her children as well as nieces and nephews’ friends all found a place to gather and have fun. Her house was the broader family gathering place and many significant life events and holidays were spent together under her roof.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jessica (Chad) Kilies and Jamie (Rob) Connors; a new granddaughter, Remi Jane Kilies; two sisters, Vicki Anne (Boulden) Combs and Dana Kay (Boulden) Hart; and many nieces and nephews.
