Westfield Police Officer Graduates FBI National Academy

On March 17, 2022, Lieutenant Eric Grimes of the Westfield Police Department graduated from the FBI National Academy, Class 281, in Quantico, Virginia. Lt. Grimes joined 232 police officers from the United States, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The 10-week program focuses on executive leadership, law, forensic science, emerging technologies, critical incident leadership and fitness. Participation is by invitation only with less than 1 percent of law enforcement officers selected.

“I am grateful to have this opportunity to represent the Westfield Police Department,” Lieutenant Grimes said. “It is an honor to learn and train alongside the best law enforcement executives in the world.”

The FBI National Academy is designed to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge and cooperation worldwide. Lieutenant Grimes was hired by the Westfield Police Department in 2009 and currently serves in the Patrol Division. His wife Carolyn and their son Rowan are excited and grateful to have Eric back home.
