Fishers Farmers Market Returns on May 7, Runs Through September 28

Fishers Parks announces the return of the popular Fishers Farmers Market at the NPD AMP (Nickel Plate District Amphitheater) this summer, along with the new Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony, both presented by IU Health Fishers. The markets offer residents and visitors two opportunities throughout the week to shop from their favorite local vendors.

The Fishers Farmers Market at the NPD AMP (6 Municipal Drive, Fishers) kicks off on Saturday, May 7, and will take place every Saturday through September 24 from 8 a.m. to noon. The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony (13578 E. 131st St., Fishers) begins June 1 and takes place on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. through September 28.

Ranked one of the top farmers markets in the region, the Fishers Farmers Market showcases vendors from Central Indiana that offer fresh produce, baked goods, honey, specialty food items, meats, coffee, plants, and more. Juried to the strictest standards, the market offers fresh, local, flavorful foods direct from farmers and producers. This year’s NPD AMP market features 65 local vendors, including weekly Biz Kidz vendors, showcasing handmade or homegrown items from young entrepreneurs. This year’s market vendors include:

The Fishers Farmers Market at Saxony vendor list will be announced ahead of opening day at playfishers.com/FarmersMarket.

At the NPD AMP market, shoppers can enjoy free yoga every Saturday morning from 8 to 9 a.m., live music from local artists from 10 a.m. to noon, and the popular Farm Hands kids’ program, where the market’s littlest shoppers can participate in special activities.

Other specialty days with themed programming for shoppers include the Health and Wellness Expo on May 21, which hosts local organizations and businesses that promote healthy living in Fishers, and Biz Kidz Day on July 9, where young entrepreneurs set up shop at the market to sell their handmade items. Shoppers can also enjoy Nonprofit Day on July 23, as well as a National Farmers Market Week Celebration on August 13.

This year, shoppers can access the NPD AMP market via the Nickel Plate Trail with the opening of the downtown portion of the 3.8-mile paved, multi-use trail. With the opening of the downtown section, which includes the pedestrian tunnel beneath 116th Street, users can travel from 146th Street to 106th Street.
