Nickel Plate Express Adds Fun NewThemes to Spring Schedule

A spring calendar that includes family-friendly and adult-focused excursions also introduces new ways to experience the Nickel Plate Express in Hamilton County.

Among the spring schedule’s highlights are favorites Mother’s Day Express, Dinner Express, and Donut Express. Families on the Dinner Express will enjoy an evening on the rails with pizza and the sights of Hamilton County. Mother’s Day brunch is also a great way to surprise mom with a cozy family experience. Passengers can choose between a brunch charcuterie box or muffins from Hot Toddy’s, both local Hamilton County foodie favorites. Celebrate Father’s Day with a trip on the Donut Express. This morning trip will be a fun, relaxed opportunity for families to spend time together and enjoy donuts from local bakeries.

The schedule offers new programs including the Tiki Express and Cinco de Mayo Express. These 21-years+ rides are themed with special decorations, noshes and music. Passengers are encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirts while enjoying dessert and tropical drinks aboard the Tiki Express. On the Cinco de Mayo train, passengers can enjoy a boxed taco dinner from local favorite Texy Mexy, and margaritas. Both excursions make the perfect date night or night out with friends.

The spring schedule also includes the grand opening of the newly renovated depot and new boarding platform at Forest Park, created by the City of Noblesville and the Noblesville Parks Department. Saturday, June 11 Hobbs Station at Forest Park Depot will open to the public. These 45-minute rides will be an opportunity to be a part of Nickel Plate Express history in the making.
