Melissa Ann Wafford, 64, of Avon, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at her home.

She was born on January 18, 1958 to Jay and Edith (Sharp) Lewis in Logansport, Indiana.

Ms. Wafford worked in sales and marketing at the Hoosier Lottery for several years then worked for the government in the workforce development department before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and watching old scary movies. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and her dogs, Bo, Josie, Gracie, and Bandit.

Survivors include her son William Wafford; and four siblings William (Sue) Lewis, Robert (Holly) Lewis, Dickie (Mary Beth) Lewis and Anita (Kenny) Killian.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The Wafford Family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Melissa’s care.
