Dick VanVoorhis

February 14, 1936 – June 27, 2022

Dick VanVoorhis, 86, of Cicero, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel.

He was born on February 14, 1936 to Frank and Grace VanVoorhis in Newark, Ohio.

Mr. VanVoorhis proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as a hydraulic engineer and was an entrepreneur. He liked to travel, go boating on the lake, and go on cruises. Mr. VanVoorhis was a fan of Ohio State and Indiana sports. He enjoyed having dinner with friends every Friday. Most of all, he loved his family and grandkids.

Survivors include his two sons Jeff (Patricia) VanVoorhis and David (Gerhild) VanVoorhis; two daughters Julie (Blaine) Meyer and Laurie (Sean) Brady; step-children Jill Landaw, Todd Landaw and Julie (Randy) Gravely; 11 grandchildren; and brother Steve (Linda) VanVoorhis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Janet Marie VanVoorhis; and sister Nancy Call.

Visitation is scheduled to be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with services scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.
