Mary Louise (Fishwick) Gubocki

January 29, 1930 – July 14, 2022

Mary Louise (Fishwick) Gubocki, 92 of Sheridan, formerly of Hobart and Gary Indiana, went home to her lord and savior on July 14, 2022, in Indianapolis.

She was born to the late Arthur and Josephine (Demarti) Fishwick on January 29, 1930, in Gary, Indiana.

Mrs. Gubocki attended Lew Wallace High School in Gary; after high school she took some college courses until getting a job as a Telephone Operator for Indiana Bell, she retired after working for them for 30 years. Mrs. Gubocki was a woman of faith and was a member at the Methodist Church in Hobart, and she had a heart of gold and was a caregiver to many people in Hobart. She and her dog Maggie enjoyed taking walks they would look forward to seeing people around her neighborhood. Her grandchildren surprised her with Maggie.

Mrs. Gubocki taught her family the value of hard work and to treat people the way they want to be treated.

Survivors include her two sons Kevin (Gina) Gubocki and Joseph Gubocki; six grandchildren Heather (Don) Banaski of Portage, Indiana, David Gubocki and girlfriend Jenn Sliwinski of Buffalo, New York, Kristen (Christopher) Falzone of Florida, Graftin S. Gubocki of Fishers, Zac Smith of Fishers, and Brennen Smith of Sheridan; great grandchild Aubrey Banaski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Gubocki on September 14, 2001; son Paul Gubocki in 1991; and sister and brother-in-law Virginia Ann (Alex) Prokopis.

Funeral Services are scheduled to be held on Saturday July 23, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Fisher Family Funeral Services located at 508 E. 6th St. Sheridan Indiana, where family and friends are invited to gather from 11 a.m. till time of services. A private family graveside service will follow Mary’s service.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to the Humane Society for Hamilton County located at 10501 Hague Rd. Fishers, Indiana 46038. The Gubocki Family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
